Independent home editorial

Useful choices for the rooms you actually live in.

Well1566 Home is an independent English-language publication about practical home and everyday products. We write for people who want a calmer kitchen counter, a guest room that works on ordinary weeks, a cleaning tool that fits the storage they have, or a small-space purchase that will still make sense after the next move.

Why Well1566?

“Well” captures our belief that a home should support daily life rather than perform for a photograph. “1566” comes directly from our web address and gives the publication a distinct, memorable identity. Together, Well1566 Home stands for considered choices, comfortable routines, and rooms that feel personal.

How we develop guides

Each story begins with a situation: wet shoes landing in a narrow hall, weeknight laundry competing with dinner, a compact kitchen with one free outlet, or a guest reaching for a towel. We translate that situation into dimensions to measure, materials to understand, care requirements to check, and tradeoffs to consider. Where we discuss a product category, we rely on published product details and make the basis of the recommendation clear.

Editorial independence

Commercial relationships do not buy a favorable conclusion. We avoid invented ratings, unsupported superlatives, and claims of ownership or hands-on use that did not happen. Affiliate relationships may support the publication, but the reader's use case comes first. Visit our Affiliate Disclosure for more detail.

Corrections and questions

Retail listings and product details can change. If you notice an error or want to ask how a recommendation was framed, email hello@well1566.com. We review substantive corrections and update the publication date when a guide meaningfully changes.
